How does IPDrive work?

IPDrive is hard drive space on a big computer which is located in a secure location. You simply connect to that space and use it as a safe place to put your important files. You can either manualy back up or all of the leading back up software can connect using ftp.
For the more technical users you can easily set up rsync from your windows (or Mac or linux) PC or use SCP using free windows software (built in with linux and Mac!).

Software

There is no software you have to install. Windows has the inbuilt features to connect via ftp! Rsync is another option which is just a small install. Rsync makes backups automatic and very easy. And of course there are backup programs which can be used. All the leading backup software can connect to IPDrive safely and securely.

Hardware

Our space is provided on multiple servers running FreeBSD or OpenSolaris as the operating system and between 5 to 10 Terrabytes of storage on each!!! Our provider is one of the most established backup providers to the hosting industry so your data is safe with us.
